Job summary

Accenture seeks a senior SAP architect to own the technical architecture for custom SAP development and extensibility. You will define Clean Core strategies, lead multi-team engagements, and drive modernization using ABAP Cloud, RAP, CAP, and generative AI tools.

You will guide clients through transitions from classic ABAP to Clean Core, oversee code reviews and architecture sign-offs, and collaborate with global delivery teams and senior stakeholders. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience developing SAP applications using S/4HANA ABAP.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with SAP BTP tools and services.
• Minimum of 4 years experience with data modeling using CDS views, AMDP, OData, or related custom development.
• Minimum of 4 years SAP custom development using Fiori-first, Clean Core, and BTP side-by-side approaches, including RAP.
• Minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership role (code reviews, architecture sign-offs, client workshops).
• Prior experience supporting the Chemicals & Natural Resources industry/clients.
• Prior experience in a Consulting/Advisory role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture for SAP custom development and extensibility - define the Clean Core strategy and the 3-tier extensibility model.
• Provide thought leadership on modern SAP development using ABAP Cloud, RAP, CAP, Fiori, Generative AI Hub, and SAP Business AI.
• Lead the transition from classic ABAP to Clean Core; govern custom-code remediation and upgrade stability.
• Plan and conduct architecture and design workshops; own code reviews and architecture sign-offs across global delivery teams.
• Support pursuits, estimation, and solution shaping; present to client architects and C-suite stakeholders.
