Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced SAP Basis administrator for a Hybrid role at one of our major facilities in the US. You will manage SAP installations, upgrades, patching, and transports across landscapes, ensuring performance and security.

Collaboration with SAP peers and external providers will be key. You will work with SAP ECC, BW, HANA, and security tools, participate in on-call rotations, and support cloud integrations with Ariba/Concur.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of experience or a minimum of 7 years of experience with an advanced degree. Bachelor’s degree required.
• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• SAP System administration.
• Unix and Linux System Administration.
• Oracle and HANA database administration.
• Experiences with external compliance audits.
• Experience with administering SAP Basis environments, including system installation, upgrades, patching, and transport management.
• Experience working with SAP system architecture, including database administration fundamentals, application server configuration, and system landscape design.
• Experience with enterprise SAP systems, with the ability to identify and implement moderate improvements to processes, configurations, or performance within the SAP environment.

Responsibilities

• You will leverage Raytheon and Collins Aerospace's influential relationship with SAP and other key hardware and software providers.
• You will lead technical teams through software installation and upgrade process.
• You will work with others to resolve conflicts, technical and other, to the satisfaction of our internal and external customers.
• You will work with SAP ECC, Suite on HANA, BW, Business Objects, Solution Manager, Web Dispatcher, SAP Landscape Transformation, GRC, GTS, SRM, Netweaver Portals and SAP PI solutions.
• You will Integration with Cloud solutions like Ariba and Concur
• You will have a strong understanding of Web technologies, firewalls, Proxy, reverse proxy, Web application Firewalls and other cyber capabilities required to deploy solutions safely and successfully.
• You will work with internal cyber, system administration and administrative practices and policies.
• You will participate in a On-Call Rotation and work outside of business hours whenever required.
• You will perform SAP system installations, upgrades, patching, and technical migrations, coordinating change windows to minimize business disruption.
• You will manage transport administration across the SAP landscape, ensuring changes move through development, quality, and production environments in a controlled and auditable manner.
• You will own system performance tuning and capacity planning, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they impact end users.
• You will administer SAP client environments, including client copies, client refreshes, and system landscape configuration.
