Job summary

The City of Charlotte's Solid Waste Services Department is seeking a Sr. Sanitation Technician to perform semi-skilled, heavy manual refuse collection on residential and business routes, with routine operation of a city vehicle.

The schedule is 2nd or 3rd shift; candidates must have a valid driver's license and at least 3 years of verifiable driving history, be able to lift 100 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and pass background checks, drug screening, and a physical exam.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years verifiable driving history.
• Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work holidays, nights, weekends, and special events.
