Job summary

Qualifications

• Six years of experience operating Solid Waste vehicles (Residential/Commercial)
• Valid State of Florida Class B CDL required.
• Must pass a written test for Equipment Operator IV functions.
• Must pass equipment-specific field test for front load/roll-off trucks.
• Must obtain OSHA 30-hour General Industry within 90 days; FEMA IS-552 and IS-558 courses; Lock Out Tag Out certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and minor maintenance.
• Operate Level I-III equipment and various garbage trucks on assigned routes.
• Weigh trucks and sort recyclables according to category.
• Safely operate and maneuver vehicles in busy environments; ensure public safety.
• Assist in emergency calls and other related duties as needed.
