Job summary

Department of State Health Services in Austin is seeking a Sanitarian III to coordinate the Manufactured Foods Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS) and manage the cooperative agreement with the FDA. You will ensure program plans, budgets, and deliverables are met while maintaining documentation and providing stakeholder training.

Under supervision, you will work with staff, prepare presentations, and travel as needed for inspections and training.

Qualifications

• At least three years of combined experience in manufactured/retail foods inspection.
• Experience in training work and environmental inspection work.
• Valid Texas driver's license and sanitarium registration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure MFRPS cooperative agreement reporting and annual budget delivery.
• Develop protocols and corrective actions to meet MFRPS standards.
• Maintain documentation of the standards and provide training.
• Coordinate with Rapid Response Team to meet deliverables.
• Support disaster response and after-hours emergencies as needed.
