Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Sanctions Compliance Specialist III for a 12-month contract in Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX. The role is hybrid, focusing on sanctions screening across client portfolios with high-volume, high-impact responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has experience in sanctions, money laundering, or terrorist financing issues, strong analytical and communication skills, and knowledge of OFAC regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing, investigating, and resolving sanctions, money laundering, or terrorist financing issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to apply sound ethical, independent judgement in high-volume, time-sensitive environments.
• Ability to spot false positives of sanctions or EAR restricted list matches through due diligence and research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise with OFAC laws and regulations.
• Self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptable.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to meet aggressive timelines in a compliance-focused environment.
• Proficiency with client applications (Numbers, Pages, Keynote) and MS Office (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Review, clear, and escape sanctions screening alerts in real time per SLAs.
• Investigate customers, business partners, and transactions using internal systems and third-party tools.
• Analyze potential matches from automated screening systems and differentiate true/false positives on sanctions and EAR lists.
• Escalate findings related to sanctioned parties or unlawful activity.
• Gather and document evidence to support GESC compliance determinations.
• Maintain thorough, organized records of screening analysis and investigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sanctions trends and program enhancements.
• Support special projects and critical casework as needed.
