Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP invites a State & Local Tax Senior (Income Franchise) to join our SALT team across Denver, Houston or Dallas. You’ll advise middle market and Fortune 500 clients on state income/franchise tax compliance, nexus, apportionment, credits and planning, while mentoring staff and guiding quality reviews.

Ideal candidates hold a 4-year degree and 3+ years in SALT, CPA or JD/CMI eligible, with strong client service and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree and 3+ years of SALT experience.
• CPA, Law license/JD, or CMI license eligible.
• Strong knowledge of nexus, apportionment and state modifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic SALT consulting and compliance for middle market and Fortune 500 clients.
• Review and prepare state income and franchise tax workpapers and returns.
• Mentor associates and manage engagement staffing and deadlines.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and client value.
