Job summary

Weaver seeks a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to join the Sales and Use (Indirect) Tax division of our SALT practice. The Manager will work on multiple complex tax engagements and will contribute to the delivery of innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for our diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA, CMI or JD
• 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm or similar industry
• Experience with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting

Responsibilities

• Lead complex indirect tax audits, managed audits, and recovery of tax overpayments (reverse audits).
• Prepare complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries by researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and tax implications.
• Lead projects and a team of sales and use tax professionals.
