Job summary

Commence in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer/Architect to lead migrations from Pega to Salesforce, design integrations with AWS, and implement secure, scalable solutions.

You will mentor junior developers, enforce coding standards, and collaborate with Data Solutions Architect and CMS/compliance teams to meet HIPAA/NIST requirements while supporting federal contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Direct experience with legacy case-management migrations.
• 3+ years supporting federal contracts; CMS experience preferred.
• Deep proficiency in Apex, Lightning, Flow, and Salesforce configuration.
• Experience with Salesforce data management, large-scale migrations, integrations, cleansing.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with AWS using REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning components, and Flow to replicate legacy Pega workflows.
• Design and execute migration strategy from Pega to Salesforce with minimal fidelity loss.
• Build scalable, reliable, high-performance Salesforce applications.
• Establish and enforce development standards: code quality, testing, deployment practices.
• Recommend Salesforce‑specific architecture patterns, tools, and integration strategies for Chief Architect review.
• Design multi-system integrations between Salesforce and other platforms, particularly AWS, coordinating with the Data Solutions Architect.
• Submit technical design decisions through the program's ADR process.
• Implement integrations between Salesforce and other cloud services, ensuring secure data exchange.
• Partner with the Data Solutions Architect on data migration, integration, and cleansing strategy to maintain platform integrity.
• Ensure all data handling aligns with CMS ARS, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST requirements.
• Mentor junior developers and foster development best practices.
• Translate CMS business needs, via the Senior Business Analyst, into technical Salesforce solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and resolve complex implementation issues within platform scope.
• Identify improvements in development process and tooling.
• Stay current on Salesforce Government Cloud / Health Cloud advancements relevant to federal case‑management use cases.
