Job summary

CFA Institute is undergoing a major transformation of its Salesforce platform, consolidating onto Data Cloud and modernizing its marketing stack. As Principal Developer, you will lead technical delivery across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud, mentor developers, and partner with Product Owners to translate business needs into scalable, secure solutions.

You will stay hands-on with coding, reviews, and deployments, while shaping governance, roadmap, and operational

Qualifications

10+ years of IT experience with 7+ years hands-on Salesforce development.
Expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Salesforce APIs, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce security.
Experience leading code reviews and mentoring developers.
Proven ability to partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
Enterprise-scale cross-functional and cross-geography collaboration experience.
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required.
Experience with Agile delivery and DevOps practices.
Nice to Have Platform Developer II and Data Cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud.
Stay hands-on: coding, integrations, testing, deployments, and production support.
Lead code reviews and pull requests; mentor other Salesforce developers.
Partner with Product Owners across groups, leading technical discovery and discussions.
Assist in planning wider development strategy and operations, including modern practices and vendor qualifications.
Contribute to platform governance, roadmap planning, release management, and continuous improvement.
Help shape CFA Institute's agentic AI use cases on the Salesforce platform.
Support move to Data Cloud as the foundation for future Salesforce initiatives.
