Job summary

State of Ohio – TAX is seeking a Senior Salesforce Architect to design, develop, maintain, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions. The role demands strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, Aura Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, data modeling, security architecture, integrations, and DevOps/CI/CD.

You will develop scalable solutions, implement declarative flows, manage deployments, and ensure robust test coverage and code quality across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT or related field.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce development with Apex, SOQL/SOSL, LWC and Aura Components.
• Experience with Salesforce automation (Flows) and data migration tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex classes, triggers, and LWC/Aura components.
• Build declarative solutions with Flows, validation rules, and security controls.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across integrations and data flows.
• Write clean, well-documented code and maintain 75–80%+ test coverage.
• Participate in peer code reviews and follow Salesforce best practices.
• Manage lifecycles, sandboxes, and deployment cycles; use GitHub and CI/CD.

Position Overview

The State of Ohio is seeking a Senior Salesforce Architect to design, develop, maintain, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with Apex, LWC, Aura Components, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flows, data modeling, security architecture, integrations, and Salesforce DevOps/CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex classes, triggers, batch processes, LWC, and Aura Components.
• Build declarative solutions using Salesforce Flows, custom objects, validation rules, and security controls.
• Troubleshoot complex software errors, application bottlenecks, and data integration issues.
• Write clean, documented code and robust test classes maintaining 75–80%+ code coverage.
• Participate in peer code reviews and follow Salesforce development best practices.
• Manage application lifecycles, sandbox environments, and deployment cycles.
• Use GitHub and CI/CD tools for version control and Salesforce deployments.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• 3+ years of Salesforce Platform development experience.
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, security architecture, and data migration tools.
• Experience with LWC and Aura Components.
