Our client is seeking a Senior Salesforce Application Engineer to own and evolve our Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and scale with organizational growth. This role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, and hands-on development to ensure Salesforce meets strategic objectives and integrates seamlessly with other enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate is a Salesforce expert who can collaborate across business and technology teams, drive development best practices, and lead a team of engineers and admins to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

This is a 100% remote role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our custom-developed Salesforce Lightning apps.
• Architect solutions that align with business requirements, platform best practices, and long-term scalability.
• Mentor and guide a team of Salesforce developers and admins, ensuring adherence to coding standards, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Drive platform governance, including change management, data integrity, user access controls, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems (using APIs, middleware, and Salesforce Connect).
• Perform code reviews, optimize components, and enforce performance tuning practices.
• Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and roadmap to drive continuous platform innovation.
• Lead technical issue resolution, platform upgrades, and implementation of security controls.
• Establish and manage release processes.
• Lead team to provide scalable, cost-effective solutions to business problems.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with 2+ years in a senior engineer role.
• Expertise in Apex, Lightning Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk, Metadata).
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, data model, and sharing rules.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale Salesforce implementations or migrations.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, custom apps).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (e.g., Git), and DevOps processes for Salesforce.

PREFERRED:

• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (in progress or obtained).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and JIRA or similar tools.
