CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Sales Tax Consulting Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice. This role emphasizes research on multistate sales and use tax issues, leading compliance engagements, and identifying savings opportunities for clients.

You will manage engagements from scoping to delivery, collaborate across CLA service lines, and mentor junior staff while leveraging technology to improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• CPA eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and advise on multistate sales and use tax issues, including nexus, taxability, and exemptions to minimize client exposure.
• Lead and support compliance engagements - return preparation, voluntary disclosure agreements, and audit defense across multiple jurisdictions.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and communicate actionable insights to clients in clear, business-friendly language.
• Manage engagements from scoping through delivery, with increasing ownership of timelines, budgets, and client relationships.
• Partner across CLA service lines - income tax, property tax, credits & incentives - to deliver integrated solutions.
• Leverage technology and automation to drive efficiency, accuracy, and a best-in-class client experience.
• Grow your expertise through CLA's SALT training programs, hands-on client work, and exposure to complex multistate issues.
• Mentor associates and interns, helping build a high-performing, collaborative SALT team.

The compensation range for this position inMinnesotais: $71,800.00 - $124,000.00
