Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Senior Sales Representative to manage and grow a well-established territory in the Chicago South area within the Light Industry division. You will build strong client relationships, conduct on-site visits, and close deals using CRM tools for forecasting and SIOP planning.

A background in commercial or industrial water treatment is preferred, with a proactive, safety-first approach and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 5 years experience or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry.
• Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, such as NetSuite and Odoo.
• Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients in the Chicago South territory.

Position

Senior Sales Representative to manage and grow a well-established territory within Xylem's Light Industry division covering the Chicago South area.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include maintaining and strengthening customer relationships through on-site visits within the assigned territory, as well as engaging clients via multiple communication channels to close deals and provide ongoing support. You’ll respond to inquiries with expert product recommendations and guide opportunities through all stages of the sales pipeline using CRM tools, which are also used for forecasting and SIOP planning. The ideal candidate will have a commercial or industrial water treatment background, and brings a sense of urgency, prioritize safety, and work collaboratively across teams to execute sales strategies and uncover new business opportunities, all while maintaining high service standards and growing sales volume. This person will be required to live in the territory and go into the branch office as needed.

Salary

The estimated total target compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000(salary plus sales incentive). Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
