We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager to lead and expand our university business across the United States. You will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pipeline generation to closing multi-stakeholder, multi-year deals with major US universities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment, understands how universities operate, and is passionate about driving innovation through autonomous technology.

In this role, you will get to:

  • Own and manage the full university sales cycle: from identifying and qualifying leads to negotiating and closing deals.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key university stakeholders including procurement, auxiliary services, dining services, IT, and student affairs.
  • Drive pipeline development through direct outreach, channel partnerships, and events.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Partner Marketing, Customer Success, and Deployment to ensure a smooth handoff and successful go-live. Understand and articulate the value proposition of Starship’s offering, including robot delivery, on-campus advertising, white-labeled marketplaces, and order management solutions.
  • Forecast accurately and work diligently with our CRM (Salesforce).
  • Represent Starship at higher education conferences and events.
  • Stay on top of market trends, competitor offerings, and campus innovation trends.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 3 to 10 years of experience in B2B sales or partnerships, with at least 2 years selling into the higher education sector or similarly complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to navigate long sales cycles and manage multiple active opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience selling technology, software platforms, or service solutions is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – self-starter, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Willingness to travel to meet prospects and attend key events.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office work.
  • Movement ability to frequent usage of wrists, hands and finger dexterity to movements such as constant typing.
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
  • Occasional lifting of items with weight up to 70 lbs.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years working in a business development, company expansion, revenue generating/growth-focused, or other similar position.
  • BA/BS in Business or similar field of study (MBA is preferred, but not required).
  • Ability to work independently and with various internal and external teams/stakeholders to meet company short and long-term revenue goals.
  • Proficient with data analytics tools, preferably previous experience with Tableau as well as google tools, spreadsheets, and data visualizations.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Capable of balancing multiple priorities and work streams at once.
