Vollwerth and Co invites a Sales Manager to lead and develop our sales team in Hancock, Michigan. The role drives revenue, margins, and brand growth across grocery, retail, distributor, and foodservice channels.

You will travel regionally while coaching the team, negotiating major opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure profitable growth. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in sales are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, food-industry management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 2 years leading sales professionals.
• Food manufacturing, meat, refrigerated foods, consumer packaged goods, grocery, wholesale distribution, or foodservice experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and develop the sales team with clear revenue, margin, activity, territory, and account expectations.
• Build a qualified pipeline across grocery, retail, wholesale, distributor, foodservice, and other channels.
• Personally lead major opportunities, bids, presentations, plant visits, negotiations, and new-business development.
• Manage key customer relationships and account plans focused on retention, growth, pricing, promotions, and service.
• Review pricing, quotes, contracts, discounts, rebates, and special terms within authority.
• Prepare forecasts, performance reports, and corrective action plans.
