Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for our Memphis-based Chemical Distribution team.

You will direct a team of Sales Account Managers to drive profitable growth for targeted products, markets, and customers, while developing their selling capabilities and leadership skills. In this role you will build sales territories, coach pricing strategies, participate in hiring and training, and coordinate local strategy with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent business experience.
• 5+ years proven sales management experience leading a sales team.
• Ability to develop and grow relationships with key customer contacts and suppliers.
• High level of decision-making balancing customer needs and company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains sales territories to improve productivity.
• Evaluates team performance through activity, sales and margin tracking.
• Mentors team in market-based pricing strategies and conducts reviews.
• Supports hiring and training of new team members.
• Coordinates local sales strategy to align with growth plans.
• Coaches team during joint sales calls and improves selling techniques.
• Uses CRM as the primary system to manage customer profiles and activity.
• Ensures alignment between local sales and corporate accounts.
