Job summary

Zscaler is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support the Majors West region. This remote role reports to the Manager of Sales Engineering and focuses on delivering technical presentations, gathering requirements, and guiding evaluations for prospective customers.

You will demonstrate cybersecurity and networking expertise, craft tailored solutions, and engage with customers to solve real-world security needs using Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Network Systems integrator.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
• Hands-on cybersecurity and networking background with TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, and firewalls.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCIE, or Security+ are preferred.

• Create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers
• Gather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions will meet customer goals and needs
• Lead product evaluations and custom product configurations
• Design evaluation test plans with customers and guide the process to successful outcomes
• You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable building the path as you walk it, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance but as the raw material to build something meaningful.
• You are customer-obsessed and build deep empathy for the customer to anchor your decisions in solving their real-world problems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Network Systems integrator
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent working experience
• Proven cybersecurity and networking technical background with hands-on experience in network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, and firewalls
• Industry standard certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCIE, or Security+Demonstrate strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, solution design, automation, and customer problem-solving, while applying sound technical judgment to validate outputs.
