Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible. That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst to join our Sales Compensation team. This role will support the administration, validation, reporting, and ongoing management of sales compensation programs across a growing revenue organization.

The Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely commission processing, maintaining compensation plans in CaptivateIQ, resolving compensation inquiries, supporting reporting, and partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and leadership.

This is a highly visible role that requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, hands‑on CaptivateIQ experience, sound judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment with multiple compensation plans, teams, and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate
  • The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in administering complex compensation plans within CaptivateIQ. They are proactive, organized, and comfortable working with sensitive compensation data. They can balance recurring operational responsibilities with ad hoc requests, investigations, and cross-functional support.
  • This person should be comfortable owning a portfolio of compensation plans while also supporting broader team initiatives, including reporting, controls, documentation, process improvement, and CaptivateIQ optimization.
Success in This Role Looks Like
  • Commission payouts are accurate, timely, and well-supported.
  • CaptivateIQ plans, rules, participant data, and calculations are maintained accurately.
  • Compensation inquiries are researched and resolved efficiently.
  • Assigned plans are clearly documented and consistently administered.
  • Exceptions, disputes, and approvals are tracked appropriately.
  • Cross‑functional partners have confidence in compensation data and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer assigned sales compensation plans in CaptivateIQ, including but not limited to SE and SE Leadership, Channel and Channel Leadership, Overlay, MBO‑based plans, and other special incentive programs.
  • Support monthly and quarterly commission processing, including payout validation, audit checks, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update compensation rules, plan logic, participant data, crediting, quotas, hierarchies, and payout calculations within CaptivateIQ.
  • Review and validate commissionable data, including bookings, attainment, crediting, splits, hierarchy assignments, quotas, and plan eligibility.
  • Investigate and resolve compensation inquiries, disputes, and exceptions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and Sales Leadership to research and resolve compensation‑related issues.
  • Support the issuance, tracking, and documentation of compensation plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of plan rules, processes, exceptions, approvals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with compensation reporting, including payout summaries, attainment reporting, inquiry tracking, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements within the compensation process.
  • Provide backup support across other compensation plan areas and assist with cross‑training to improve team coverage.
  • Support annual and mid‑year compensation plan rollouts, plan testing, and communication efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of hands‑on CaptivateIQ experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, revenue operations, sales operations, payroll, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience administering compensation plans, validating payouts, building compensation logic, and researching commission‑related inquiries.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Experience working with large data sets and performing detailed reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, especially during month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end cycles.
  • Ability to explain compensation calculations and policies clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with SaaS sales compensation plans, including AE, SDR/BDR, SE, Channel, Overlay, and leadership plans.
