Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Remote United States (Up to 50% Travel)

$130k-150k base DOE (Up to 250- 300 OTE)

Our data consulting client is looking for an experienced sales account manager that is driven, positive, passionate, collaborative, and excels at client relationship building.

Summary:

The Sales Account Manager will create trusted relationships with key decision makers at existing clients and act as services advisor to retain and grow these clients. The focus of this role is sell additional services through extensions and expansions of the current book of business (SOW based). They will work closely with Sales and Delivery leaders/teams to capitalize on the client’s brand awareness and track record of success.

They will focus on gaining a clear understanding of the levers to pull with a client, including where budget is allocated (or can be made available), processes to acquire funding, and fiscal timing. They will recommend new areas of opportunity in service offerings that are adjacent or attainable add-ons to current offerings and are accountable to propose and close business following company standards.

They will advise the Head of Delivery and/or CRO on client status, escalate issues, arrange top-to-top conversations, and be accountable for delivering related metrics. They will work with the Delivery team to ensure services sold are aligned to services delivered and that both meet the stated and unstated needs of the client.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Ownership of Existing Client Relationships

  • Excels at relationship building at all levels of client organizations
  • Maintains understanding of client goals and how the firm will support the achievement of these goals
  • Execute a seamless handover when moving new clients into the existing book of business, ensuring that the client sees the move as valuable and hyper focused on their success.
  • Be available to the client both virtually and in person as needed to gain their trust and respect.

Administration and Record Keeping

  • Input, update and manage client related data in sales system(s). Ensure that data is complete, meets internal standards and is timely.
  • Be an active participant in proposals, statements of work (SOW), client facing material, and marketing support.
  • Work in concert with the Delivery team to understand statement of work required to achieve client success, including deliverables and team structure.

Balancing the Firm’s Success with Client Expectations:

  • Monitor data related trends, particularly as it relates to verticals in the existing book of business.
  • Champion best practices in client management, coach the team on relationship building outside of their immediate day-to-day client contacts.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in every project; participate in reviewing results with the team and client, leveraging learnings to make the next engagement even better
  • Drive excellence by example, lead with empathy
  • Bring professionalism, curiosity and creativity to building lasting client relationships.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience selling consulting services to $2B+ clients
  • Established experience in complex enterprise selling roles
  • Demonstrated teamwork and creativity; ability to team sell, leverage internal expertise in the selling process, define and execute sales plans across a matrixed organization
  • Clear understanding of the sales cycle and related metrics
  • Creativity and Curiosity; Take accountability for driving extensions and expansions that will delight the client and build firm’s service offerings
  • Baseline understanding of data management concepts and capabilities
