Job summary

Encore Talent Solutions seeks a senior SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer to lead design, development, and modernization of enterprise Identity Governance and Administration within a mature IdentityIQ environment. The role blends software engineering with identity solutions, partnering with Principal Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and Cybersecurity teams to set technical direction and drive excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
8+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years of hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ development experience.
Extensive experience developing and supporting SailPoint Rules, Workflows, Life cycle Events.
Experience designing and supporting large-scale Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solutions.
Strong understanding of identity governance, access management, authentication, authorization, and enterprise security principles.
Experience with enterprise integration patterns and APIs.
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and CI/CD practices.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for enterprise SailPoint IdentityIQ initiatives and strategic identity governance programs.
Partner with senior engineering leaders and architects to define technical direction, architecture, and engineering standards.
Lead the design and implementation of complex identity solutions spanning multiple business units and technology platforms.
Mentor software engineers through technical coaching, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
Promote modern software engineering practices, automation, DevOps, and CI/CD adoption.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and application teams to deliver integrated identity solutions.
Design, develop, and support advanced SailPoint IdentityIQ functionality, including Forms Lifecycle, Events Access Requests, Certifications Policies, Custom Tasks Plugins and Extensions, develop scalable custom solutions using SailPoint APIs and development frameworks, troubleshoot provisioning/aggregation/workflow issues, optimize performance, establish development standards.
