NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland seeks a Safety & Training Specialist to develop and enforce SHE programs for the TFOME contract, ensuring OSHA and NASA NPR compliance across operations and subcontractors.

You will provide expert guidance, conduct safety audits, perform IH activities, train staff, and maintain records. A strong background in safety engineering, hazard analysis, and experience at NASA facilities is preferred.

Competenze

• Associate degree or professional safety certifications with 5+ years experience.
• Understanding of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, NRC and DOT requirements.
• Familiarity with NASA NPRs, NPDs and Glenn Safety manuals.
• Proficient with lifting equipment safety, LO/TO, guarding and ventilation.

Mansioni

• Provide SHE program support ensuring compliance with policies and controls to include surveillance of personnel and contractors.
• Perform hazard analyses and safety assessments; review hazardous operation procedures.
• Assist Safety & Quality Manager with safety programs and recordkeeping.
• Conduct safety audits/inspections, facility safety walk-throughs, and investigations; implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical review and guidance on HASP for TFOME subcontracted work.
• Mentor TFOME Employee Safety Committee members at Lewis Field and Armstrong Facility.
• Submit monthly SHE activity reports to Safety & Quality Manager.
• Represent TFOME at Contractor Safety Committee meetings.
• Assist in writing and implementing Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Safety Observation Reports (SOR).
• Serve as a safety consultant to TFOME employees and NASA on safety matters.
