Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Safety Specialist to join our Federal Solutions team. You will oversee safety across multiple construction sites, conduct daily site safety assessments, and provide training for contractor activities such as trenching and elevated work.

You will ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and the Area/Resident Office Safety Plan. You will review and approve Accident Prevention Plans and activity hazard analyses, prepare Mishap Notification forms, and update the Safety Plan as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of related work experience in Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety oversight for multiple job sites.
• Provide daily site safety assessments and training for contractor activities (e.g., trenching, elevated work).
• Follow Area/Resident Office's Safety Plan and EM 385-1-1 provisions.
• Attend construction activity preparatory meetings.
• Review and assess Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA).
• Prepare ENG Form 3394 Mishap Notification and Investigation for labor accidents or property damage.
• Revise and update the Area/Resident Office's Safety Plan as needed.
