Korry Electronics in Everett, WA is seeking a Senior Safety & Reliability Engineer to shape avionics display systems for civil and military use. You will lead safety processes, assess architectures, and verify products meet requirements, working as an individual contributor within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities include preparing reliability analyses, conducting FMEAs, facilitating design reviews, and guiding FRACAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Aerospace discipline.
• Minimum 7 years in Safety & Reliability Engineering.
• Experience with MIL-HDBK standards and DO-178/DO-254.
• Proficiency in FMEA, Fault Trees, and FRACAS.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols (DO-326) appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze reliability reports, FMEA, and fault trees.
• Partner with design, components and quality teams to drive corrective actions.
• Manage safety requirements across product lifecycle and support design reviews.
• Conduct risk assessments including safety and cybersecurity.

What You Will Do:

Korry Electronics is looking for a Senior-level Safety & Reliability Engineertoplay a key role indevelopment, certification, andsupport of ouradvanced civil and military avionicssystems and subsystems.

As a Safety & Reliability Engineer, youwill be responsible forsafety processes,methodologies andbest practices,assessing and defining productarchitecture,examining failure modes andprobabilities to ensureour products meet their requirements.You'llwork within a fast-paced, creative engineering environment, acting as an individual contributor within a multi-disciplined team to ensure our products are safe, robust, and reliable. Primary Responsibilities:

• Safety and Reliability Analysis:Develop and analyze critical reports, including Reliability Analyses, Fault Trees, Common Cause Analyses, and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner closely with design, components, and quality engineering teams toidentifyrequirements, pinpoint non-conformances, and drive corrective actions.
• Design & Compliance:Manageaircraftsafety requirements throughout the product lifecycle using both top-down and bottom-up methodologies. Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance.
• Risk Assessment:Facilitaterisk assessments, including safety and cybersecurity, for new products and problem reports, and generate comprehensive reports.
• Technical Expertise:Utilizeyourexpertisein industry standards (e.g.,MIL-STD-882, DO-178, DO-254) and reliability testing methods (HALT, HASS, ESS) to guide development.
• Continuous Improvement:Support Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS) and contribute to field reliability tracking efforts.
• Customer Communication:Maintainstrong communicationwith customer counterparts and program managers throughout the development process.
• Performs special projects/tasks as assigned.

PreferredEducation

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,Systems Engineering,Mechanical Engineering, or a related Aerospace Engineering discipline.

PreferredExperience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Safety & Reliability Engineering.
• Experience with Safety & Reliabilitysoftware such as PTC Windchill/Windchill Risk & Reliability.
• Familiarity with derating and maintenance/packaging design analysis.
• Skills:
• Expertisein aerospace equipment certification processes.
• Proficiencywith fault tree analysis tools (e.g., CAFTA Fault Tree orRelexFault Tree).
• Working knowledgeof communication protocols.
• Working knowledge ofelectrical and mechanical models.
• Working knowledge of relevant standards: MIL-HDBK-217,MIL-HDBK-472, DO-160.
• Experience with STPA or CAST.
• Experience with Systems Engineering and requirements capture software (e.g., DOORs)
• Experience with software-based systems and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) is a plus.
• Experience with Jira, ADO, or other program management tools is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge ofcyber security protocols like DO-326is a plus.

• Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.
• Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.

Salary Range:

The typical hiring range for this role is:

• Level III: $108,000-$162,000
• Level IV: $124,000–$186,000
