Job summary

Air Liquide Taylor, TX is seeking a Safety and Quality Specialist II to lead lab safety and quality programs in our Balazs Electronics materials operations.

You will manage 17025 accreditation, QA/QC processes, and safety metrics, and mentor teams through near-miss investigations, JHAs, and SOP updates.

This full-time role requires a chemistry background and 8+ years analytical lab experience, with a focus on compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 8+ years analytical lab experience.
• Experience with implementing, performing, and/or monitoring Laboratory QA/QC.
• Must be knowledge of chemical analyses and processes.

Responsibilities

• Generate monthly safety meeting presentation from Air Liquide template.
• Own weekly near miss meeting and safety champion calls/training.
• Plan and assign JSAs, inspections and submarine drills.
• Report SAS safety requirements.
• Manage safety near misses and action items to closure.
• Maintain accurate and up to date JHAs and PPE matrix.
• Investigate safety issues and manage action items to closure.
• Perform ergonomic assessments.
• Train new employees on both quality and safety culture.
• Train new hires on lab safety, evacuation routes, and reporting issues.
• Manage and sustain 17025 accreditation.
• Manage SOPs and training changes.
• Trend data to report KPIs quarterly to customer.
• Trend BECs, LCS, Instrument tuning parameters, QC samples.
• Maintain lab databases and data templates.
• Provide support to LIMS on updates/fixes.
• Manage quality near misses and action items to closure.
• Investigate quality issues or environmental change points.
