Job summary

Chemtrade in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Quality Control and Lab Supervisor to lead the Main and Control Room laboratories, ensure ISO 9000 compliance, and manage analytical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products.

You will train analysts, supervise a Lab Technician, coordinate with operations, and drive continuous improvement projects while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience in chemicals manufacturing or related field.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills.
• Experience in calibration, troubleshooting instrument issues, and analytical methods.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to act independently and take initiative.
• Strong mathematical abilities and proficiency in Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise laboratories and ensure quality analyses of materials and products.
• Develop and validate test procedures; ensure procedures are followed.
• Train Analysts and certify qualifications; supervise Lab Technician.
• Maintain ISO 9000 quality system and customer specifications in SAP.
• Coordinate analyses, investigations of out-of-spec results, and supplier testing.
• Manage lab inventory and equipment maintenance; support safety and environment programs.
