Job summary

US Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) is seeking a safety professional at the GS-13 level within the Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Standards and Compliance Division (SCD), Occupational Safety and Health Branch (OSHB). The incumbent advises senior managers and staff on highly technical safety and health topics and leads hazard assessments, program development, and compliance initiatives.

The role reports to the Branch Chief, OSHB, and requires expert knowledge of federal safety

Qualifications

• Identify and evaluate occupational hazards at construction and commercial sites.
• Develop programs to reduce accidents and occupational illnesses.
• Inspect workplaces for compliance with safety and health policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior managers and employees on highly technical safety and occupational health issues.
• Report to the Branch Chief, OSHB and support safety program implementation across divisions.
