Updike Distribution Logistics, LLC is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead the safety department and ensure regulatory compliance across transportation, warehousing, and final-mile operations. This hands-on leadership role supervises two Safety Analysts while staying actively engaged in daily safety activities.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transportation safety or DOT compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety requirements.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to warehouse and distribution operations.
• Experience conducting accident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret regulations and apply them to daily operations.
• Effective communication and leadership with drivers, warehouse employees, supervisors, and management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic safety management systems.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee FMCSA and state regulatory compliance for transportation operations.
• Manage driver qualification files, CDL verification, medical certifications, MVR monitoring, and audits.
• Administer DOT drug and alcohol testing programs (random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty).
• Monitor hours-of-service, ELDs, and related violations; oversee driver orientation and training.
• Investigate transportation accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance to address vehicle and driver safety issues.
• Maintain OSHA compliance programs across warehouse/distribution ops and conduct facility inspections.
• Lead workplace safety programs, training, and recordkeeping; support OSHA inspections.
• Oversee safety for final-mile delivery and contractor compliance.
• Manage safety metrics across multi-state operations; supervise two Safety Analysts.
