Job summary

Fiber Network Services Inc. seeks an experienced Companywide Safety Manager to develop, monitor, and enforce safety programs across field operations. You will oversee safety in aerial and underground fiber installations, enforcing OSHA and DOT guidelines while promoting zero-harm compliance and regulatory liaison.

The role requires 5+ years of safety management in telecom or heavy civil fields, with OSHA 1926, MUTCD, and 811 locate expertise. Travel up to regional sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated construction safety management experience in telecom/fiber/heavy civil projects.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA 1926 (Construction) and DOT requirements.
• Proven ability to lead field safety programs and training sessions.
• Experience coordinating with regulators and municipal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field safety audits of active fiber construction crews and ensure PPE, fall protection, trench shoring usage.
• Enforce OSHA trenching standards and 811 locate processes; track utility locates.
• Oversee aerial safety for bucket truck operations and fall-arrest systems.
• Monitor MOT/TTC setups and ensure compliance with MUTCD standards.
• Lead incident investigations and document OSHA/worker's comp reports.
• Develop safety onboarding, toolbox talks, and OSHA training programs.
• Serve as primary liaison to OSHA, DOT, and municipal inspectors.
