Job summary

Leapros Skilled Trades is seeking a Senior Safety Manager in San Antonio, TX to lead development and implementation of best-in-class safety programs and policies. The role collaborates with field leadership and project managers to ensure a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across electrical construction sites.

Requirements include 5+ years in construction/industrial safety, OSHA knowledge, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Construction or Industrial safety.
• Experience with electrical construction safety is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with safety managers, site coordinators, and field leadership to educate employees on safety culture and standards.
• Build, sustain, and improve safety programs, policies, processes, and practices across all job sites.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement processes to mitigate hazards via standards and accountability.
• Monitor safety data and metrics, maintaining up-to-date reporting to measure progress.
• Investigate safety incidents and provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies.
• Identify unique risks and develop innovative safety solutions for complex challenges.
• Foster relationships to resolve conflicts and influence safety actions organization-wide.
• Ensure OSHA compliance across regional and out-of-state sites and provide coaching.

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Senior Safety Manager in San Antonio, TX. The Senior Safety Manager leads the development and implementation of best-in-class safety programs, policies, and practices to ensure a safe workplace culture. Working closely with field leadership and project managers, the ideal candidate is a process-oriented subject matter expert with deep experience in electrical construction safety and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 Annually BOE

Licenses/Certifications Required:

• OSHA 30
• OSHA 500
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with safety managers, site coordinators, and field leadership to educate employees on safety culture and standards.

• Monitor and track safety data and metrics, maintaining up-to-date reporting to measure progress and results.
• Investigate safety incidents and emergencies, providing 24/7 on-call support for after-hours or weekend events.
• Act as a subject matter expert to identify unique risks and develop innovative solutions for complex safety challenges.
• Foster relationship-building to resolve conflict and influence safety actions across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other industry-specific safety regulations across regional and out-of-state job sites.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to field leadership and front-line workers to improve safety performance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Construction or Industrial-related safety, preferably with an Electrical Contractor.
• Extensive knowledge of and exposure to electrical-related hazards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant degree is strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, safety software, and data analysis tools.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance safety education with accountability while building professional relationships.
• Availability to provide 24/7 on-call support for safety emergencies.
• Ability to travel regularly to regional job sites and occasionally out of state with overnight stays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel regularly to regional job sites and occasionally out of state.
• Ability to perform site inspections in various weather conditions and environments.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders to inspect work areas at heights.
• Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands to operate computers and safety software.
• Ability to work in environments that may include loud noises and industrial hazards.
• Must be able to respond to on-call emergencies after hours and on weekends.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
