Job summary

Holder Construction Group is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to join our project team in Conesville, OH. This full-time, in-person role leads safety execution for major scopes, mentors junior safety staff, and serves as a key safety leader within the project team.

You will drive proactive safety culture, review JHAs and MOPs, lead investigations, and coordinate safety meetings and training across trades and clients, ensuring compliance and excellence on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred.
• BCSP certification (ASP, CSP, or CHST preferred).
• Competent Person training (e.g., cranes, rigging, NFPA 70E).
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts for major scopes, trades, or phases of work.
• Review and approve critical JHAs and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Mentor and develop Assistant and Safety Coordinators.
• Serve as a primary safety contact for project leadership, trade partners, and clients.
• Facilitate safety meetings, training, and key project safety initiatives.
• Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, accountability, and engagement.
