Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Safety Manager to cultivate a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance across construction and operations. You will lead safety staff, develop policies, conduct audits, and serve as the primary safety contact for employees, management, and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, maintenance, safety or operations.
• Minimum 5 years of Safety management experience.
• CHST or CSP certification required; SMP certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of safety and environmental principles and regulations (federal, state, local).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach safety staff to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Recruit and develop safety professionals and ensure quality control and training.
• Plan schedules, workflows, and workload delegation for field staff oversight.
• Conduct site hazard analyses and safety walks to identify exposures and implement controls.
• Manage safety inspections, audits, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Advise on OSHA regulations and industry standards as the technical safety expert.
• Investigate incidents, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and communicate site-specific safety plans per customer requirements.
• Coordinate safety training programs to meet regulatory compliance.
• Serve as primary safety contact for employees, management, and customers.
