Gila County Sheriff's Office seeks a Special Investigator to conduct interviews, interrogations, CVSA examinations, and investigations. You will also assist with crime scene metal detection, report submission, and program development to protect senior citizens from theft and fraud.

Requires high school diploma or GED and seven years of law enforcement and investigative experience; AZ Post Certification and CVSA credentials are preferred. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years law enforcement experience and investigative experience or equivalent combination.
• Must possess strong investigative capabilities and report-writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Conducts interviews, interrogations, CVSA examinations, criminal and applicant background investigations and crime scene metal detection; submits documents and reports.
• Investigates senior citizen complaints and actions taken.
• Implements programs for senior citizens on theft and fraud avoidance and personal safety; provides handout materials.
