Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, health, industrial hygiene, or related field.
• Or associate degree with two years’ electric utility field operations experience.
• Or a high school diploma/GED with five years’ electric utility field operations experience.
• 8+ years of S&H experience or electric utility operations experience.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA knowledge; CSP/CIH/CUISP desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate S&H programs and safety trainings.
• Perform safety audits, compile reports, present findings to management.
• Develop long-term strategies for S&H performance improvement.
• Advise on policy changes to meet safety objectives and laws.
• Investigate incidents and assess hazard controls.
• Consult on safety regulations for new or modified facilities.
• Mentor junior S&H professionals and support skill development.
• Travel as required for site visits and inspections.
