Job summary

Amkor Technology Arizona is seeking a safety engineer to develop, implement, and monitor environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs for the new OSAT factory construction and operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and ISO standards.

You will conduct risk assessments, deliver training, perform site inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive risk mitigation and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety engineering or EHS compliance (construction or semiconductor manufacturing preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA codes, and relevant safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for training and reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Office and EHS management software.

Responsibilities

• Review and implement construction safety management plans.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety regulations and internal standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for construction and operational activities.
• Support ISO 14001 and 45001 compliance and maintain documentation.
• Develop and deliver safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare EHS reports and maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve work methods, safety practices, and equipment usage.
• Develop and implement safety programs for near‑term and long‑term operations.
• Provide on‑site support during emergencies and assist with incident investigations.
