Job summary

Amkor Technology Arizona is seeking a safety engineer to develop, implement, and monitor environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs for the new OSAT factory construction and operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and ISO standards.

You will conduct risk assessments, deliver training, perform site inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive risk mitigation and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety engineering or EHS compliance (construction or semiconductor manufacturing preferred).

Position Summary

Amkor Technology Arizona is seeking a safety engineer, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This role supports construction and operational safety for Amkor’s new OSAT factory, promoting a strong safety culture and risk mitigation across all phases of the project.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and awkward positions.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs and adjust heavy objects.
• Exposure to sharp, hot, and cold equipment.
• Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevation, and in confined spaces with PPE.

Location

This position will be based at the Peoria, AZ site, working from temporary offices during the construction phase and transitioning to the facility upon the start of factory operations.
