Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Engineer to support safety management across multiple power and utility construction projects in Illinois. You will partner with operations leaders, project teams, and field personnel to promote a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of construction safety experience, preferably heavy civil/utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments.

Responsabilités

• Lead and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures on active projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments for regulatory compliance.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training and toolbox talks for personnel.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety planning into work execution.
• Monitor OSHA, DOT, environmental, and client safety requirements.
