Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Safety Engineer to lead and manage safety programs across the Jefferson City, MO facility. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations, maintain training records, and promote a culture of safety that prevents incidents.

The role collaborates with management and regulatory bodies to keep safety programs current, conduct investigations, and report findings in a timely manner while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 10 years safety/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA and regulatory agencies.
• Experience with third-party safety compliance/auditing vendors.
• Ability to interpret government regulations and ensure compliance.
• Proven leadership and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and accountability.
• Plan and implement site safety training for employees.
• Conduct and ensure safety inspections are performed regularly.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and safety training records.
• Develop and manage DOT/FRA programs and driver compliance.
• Oversee drug and alcohol testing programs and incident investigations.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and present findings.
