The role collaborates with operations to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. Responsibilities include coordinating safety programs, liaising with regulatory agencies, reporting injuries, and guiding incident investigations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, loss control, and risk management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
• Up to 35% travel per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong culture of safety and proactively identify and mitigate workplace risks.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and partner with operations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Serve as primary contact with local regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate reporting of worker compensation claims and return-to-work accommodations.
• Participate in safety committees and sustainability council.
• Organize safety orientations and complete routine inspections and audits.
• Oversee investigations and root cause analysis of incidents.
