Job summary
PacifiCorp is seeking a safety-focused professional to administer safety programs at the Huntington site, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. You will lead safety initiatives, assess risks, and provide expert guidance to management and staff.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field and at least five years of experience in industrial health and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field or equivalent
- Five years' experience in Industrial Health, Safety, or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of State and National Electrical Codes and OSHA standards
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate local safety committees and emergency response teams
- Consult and educate employees and management on safe work practices
- Develop safety and health risk assessments and job task analyses
- Analyze hazards and risks to people, facilities, or equipment per regulations
- Implement processes to minimize risk and ensure compliance
- Investigate incidents to determine causes and preventive measures
- Review safety programs for adequacy
