National Grid is seeking a Principal Analyst (Corporate Safety) in Lowell, MA to lead safety governance, regulatory compliance and incident investigations across LNG and hazardous materials operations.

The role partners with Operations, HR and regulators to strengthen a safety culture, deliver training, and ensure accurate safety records while supporting reliable energy transport and facilities operations.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of progressive safety/operational leadership experience.
• Active CDL Class A license with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• Advanced Smith System knowledge or ability to obtain instructor-level proficiency.
• Experience leading safety and compliance programs in trucking, LNG, energy or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSRs, 49 CFR Parts 40 & 300-399, DOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, OSHA, hazardous materials requirements, CSA/SMS and incident investigation.
• Proven ability to deliver training, influence leaders and employees, manage investigations and drive corrective actions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead safety strategy for Transgas Inc. and foster a visible safety culture across Operations, Dispatch, Fleet, Facilities and HR.
• Maintain field presence through safety observations, coaching and direct engagement with drivers and supervisors.
• Advise leadership on material safety risks, regulatory trends and corrective-action priorities.
• Own compliance programs for DOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, OSHA and hazardous materials requirements.
• Oversee driver qualification files, MVRs, drug/alcohol testing, hours-of-service, permits and records.
• Lead investigations of incidents, determine root causes and drive closure of corrective actions.
