Job summary

EcoVadis is seeking a Legal Counsel Expert to support the Head of Legal. You will provide transactional, compliance, and governance guidance as a trusted advisor across the organization.

Responsibilities include leading contract negotiations (SaaS), drafting and reviewing agreements, maintaining templates, training the Americas Sales Team, monitoring regulatory developments, coordinating external counsel, and collaborating with insurance brokers. Hybrid work in the US is available.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from ABA-accredited law school.
• 10 years of experience as a U.S. transactional lawyer, including ≥3 years of SaaS negotiations.
• Active license to practice law in the United States.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication; strong negotiation and drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice, serving as lead lawyer on legal requests.
• Guide contract risks and commercial solutions with Sales while balancing business needs and legal requirements.
• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS agreements, NDAs, termination letters and other customer-facing documents.
• Maintain contract templates, oversee internal approvals, and coordinate with insurers.
• Deliver training on legal matters to the Americas Sales Team.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on actions to address requirements.
• Coordinate external legal counsel support.
• Perform other duties as directed by Senior Management.
