Job summary

EcoVadis is seeking a Legal Counsel Expert to support transactional, compliance, and governance matters, acting as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders across the organization. The role reports to the Head of Legal and focuses on providing practical legal guidance for commercial activities in the Americas.

The candidate will draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, maintain templates, and train the Americas Sales Team on legal matters while staying ahead of regulatory changes

Qualifications

• J.D. from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
• 10 years of experience as a U.S. practicing transactional lawyer.
• At least 3 years of SaaS negotiations.
• Active license to practice law in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice as lead lawyer on requests.
• Guide contract risk and commercial solutions in collaboration with Sales.
• Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS agreements, NDAs, termination letters, and related documents.
• Maintain contract templates and internal approval workflows.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and trainees/sales team training on legal matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting EcoVadis and advise on actions needed.
• Perform other duties as directed by Senior Management.
