Job summary

Atlassian is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to support our Enterprise Sales in the Central/West AMER region, LATAM, and Canada. This remote role involves negotiating SaaS agreements, drafting and redlining contracts, and coordinating with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Compliance to enable deals for highly-regulated customers.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience negotiating SaaS contracts with enterprise customers.
• Ability to handle data protection, cybersecurity and revenue recognition issues in connection with commercial contracts.
• Passion for understanding customers, products, culture, and business model.
• Excellent business judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly with a variety of teams.
• Strong presentation skills, especially with internal business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts from drafting to execution, including contract generation, redlining, exhibit coordination, approval escalation, record management and post-execution support and compliance.
• Provide pragmatic, business-minded guidance on customer requests and contract-related issues.
• Review customer requests and work with internal partners to fulfill requests per company processes and policies.
• Draft terms and liaise with Product, Engineering, and Compliance to support sales to highly-regulated customers.
