Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a senior software engineer to design and implement Rust libraries and CUDA-backed GPU APIs. You will build safe Rust abstractions over C/C++ interfaces and maintain the necessary C/C++ components to support Rust-facing functionality.

You will optimize across Rust, C/C++, and GPU execution, drive end-to-end features, and collaborate with Python and compiler teams to enhance safety, correctness, and developer productivity.

Qualifications

• Advanced Rust and C/C++ development experience for systems libraries.
• Experience with foreign-function interfaces and integrating Rust with C/C++ software.
• Strong understanding of performance, concurrency, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement idiomatic Rust libraries and APIs for foundational CUDA functionality and GPU algorithms.
• Build safe Rust abstractions over native CUDA and C/C++ interfaces.
• Develop and maintain the C/C++ components required to support Rust-facing functionality.
• Establish safe interoperability between Rust and C/C++, including Python interfaces for downstream use.
• Optimize performance across Rust, native C/C++, and GPU boundaries.
• Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, profiling, packaging, release, and maintenance.
• Improve the Rust developer experience through examples, diagnostics, CI, and cross-language collaboration.
• Work with users to resolve safety, correctness, usability, compatibility, and performance issues.
