Job summary

Mirantis, an IREN company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement high-performance control planes for bare-metal orchestration in AI data centers.

You will work with Rust and Go, build Kubernetes operators, and collaborate across networking, storage, and hardware teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

This role emphasizes open-source contribution, rigorous testing, and deep knowledge of BGP, EVPN, and DPU architectures.

Qualifications

• Language Proficiency: Rust (Tokio async runtime, Tonic, Axum, sqlx) and Go.
• Datacenter Protocols & OS: BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, L3VNI, route targets, route server design.

Responsibilities

• Control Plane Development: Design, build, and maintain production-grade control plane microservices and Kubernetes operators.
• Architecture & API Design: Write FR/NFR, architectural specs, system diagrams, and API schemas (gRPC/Protobuf, REST).
• Network Integration: Develop modules for SONiC, NVUE, and Cumulus, and DPU hardware platforms.
• Observability & Diagnostics: Instrument services with OpenTelemetry traces/metrics and diagnose polyglot distributed systems.
• Quality & Engineering Excellence: Contribute to PR workflows with high test coverage and mock-driven tests.
