Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise applications.
• Three or more years of hands-on Rust development in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Rust ownership model, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, and macros.
• Extensive experience with async Rust development using Tokio, async/await, Futures, and Actix or Axum.
• Strong understanding of concurrent programming, multithreading, synchronization primitives, and lock-free concepts.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and high-performance backend applications.
• Solid knowledge of OS fundamentals, memory management, scheduling, and networking.
• Experience with Linux production environments and CLI tooling.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server) and NoSQL (Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with distributed messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, Pulsar).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using Rust for large-scale distributed systems.
• Build low-latency APIs, asynchronous processing services, and event-driven microservices.
• Develop networking applications using TCP, UDP, HTTP/2, gRPC, WebSockets, and QUIC.
• Utilize Rust's async ecosystem (Tokio, async/await) for concurrency.
• Design resilient services handling millions of transactions with high availability.
• Optimize CPU, memory, scheduling, and performance.
• Integrate with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams, and other messaging.
• Develop secure APIs with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and mTLS.
• Build observability with structured logging, tracing, and monitoring.
• Collaborate on architecture reviews, code reviews, and production support.
• Work with DevOps to automate deployments via CI/CD and IaC.
