Job summary

NinjaTrader is seeking a highly skilled Rust Engineer to design, implement, and maintain backend services that power account creation, identity verification, and KYC/CIP decisioning. You will build robust integrations with identity providers and ensure deterministic, testable behavior across distributed components.

The role emphasizes secure data handling, exposure of policy-driven configurations, and scalable cloud architecture on GCP with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong production Rust: ownership, lifetimes, error modeling, async (tokio).
• Experience with HTTP and event-driven service integrations; backward compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Rust services powering account creation, identity verification, and KYC/CIP decisioning.
• Build integrations with identity, fraud, and screening providers; fixture-based scenarios for deterministic testing.
• Write the determination logic as pure, table-tested functions with a single authoritative rule definition.
• Design asynchronous delivery of outcomes to downstream systems with idempotency, retries, and completion gates.
• Own data handling for PII and identity documents with encryption, secret management, and audit logging.
• Policy-driven configuration to express market/product differences and enable jurisdiction support.
• Operate services with instrumentation, logging, alerts, and incident response.
• Design scalable, reliable cloud architecture using GCP and Kubernetes.
• Mentor engineers and lead Rust design reviews in onboarding domain.
