Lsslibraries invites applications for a Senior Library Information Specialist (Russian Language) to support a federal intelligence information center in Dayton, OH. The role involves specialized research, collection development, and information services for DoD-related science and tech intelligence, including Russian-language materials, metadata creation, and CMS management.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain security credentials.
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.
Near-native Russian reading/writing with English translation ability.
Strong English communication and research database proficiency.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
Experience with metadata creation and library workflows.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced Russian-language research using databases to support Government requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and acquire Russian-language publications and digital resources.
Monitor new resources and provide timely notifications to customers.
Develop and maintain metadata, including translations or transliterations.
Assist with cataloging, metadata records, and electronic resource management.
Prepare summaries and information products documenting activities.
Collaborate with librarians and staff to improve workflows and services.
Ensure compliance with security, copyright, and licensing standards.
