Job summary

ScioTeq LLC is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead schematic level design, PCB layout, and component evaluation for rugged MIL-STD products used in extreme environments. You will translate customer requirements into robust hardware solutions, collaborating with firmware and software teams.

Responsibilities include ensuring MIL-STD qualification, performing EMI and temperature tests, selecting parts, and root cause analysis on field issues.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years hardware design experience.
  • BSEE or BSCE required.
  • Digital and analog circuit design in product development environment.
  • Multilayer, high speed PCB design.
  • Computer motherboard design experience highly desired.
  • Experience with FPGA and ARM microprocessor design.
  • EMI testing and troubleshooting.
  • Use of analytical and CAD software tools and lab equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player.
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • US Person required.

Responsibilities

  • Schematic level hardware design of technical requirements for new products and customer customizations.
  • Printed Circuit Board design.
  • Electronic component evaluation and selection.
  • Ensure MIL-STD product qualification (temperature, EMI, CE, power supply, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution for existing product issues.
